Terms of Reference (ToR) for Website Maintenance and Content Management Consultant

Objective

To support the RLS CA team in maintaining and updating the website’s content, ensuring its alignment with organizational priorities, and providing occasional training to enhance staff capacity in website management.

Scope of Work

1. Website Maintenance

  • Regularly update and upload content to the website, ensuring accuracy and consistency with organizational branding and messaging.
  • Ensure the website remains functional, user-friendly, and visually engaging by addressing minor technical or design issues.

2. Content Organization

  • Assist in reorganizing website content into logical and thematic sections, improving navigation and user experience.
  • Tag content appropriately to enhance discoverability (proper adjustment of SEO) and ensure the alignment of thematic sections with organizational priorities.

3. Staff Training

  • Provide occasional training sessions for RLS CA staff to enhance their skills in content uploading, basic website maintenance, and utilizing the content management & uploading system.
  • Develop simple training materials or guidelines for staff reference.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in website maintenance, content management, and design adjustments.
  • Familiarity with content management systems, particularly Tilda.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Russian and English; knowledge of Kazakh is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to train and guide non-technical users.

Reporting

The consultant will report to the Head of the RLS CA Representative Office or a designated team member, providing regular updates and feedback on website performance and progress on assigned tasks.

Work Schedule

Services will be provided on a flexible basis, with the workload determined according to the RLS CA's needs and documented in timesheets. The consultant will work remotely, with periodic in-office support as necessary.

Preference will be given to candidates with individual entrepreneurship certificates and relevant experience working with the Foundation. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.

Selection Criteria

Applications will be evaluated based on:

  • Fee proposal (50%)
  • CV/portfolio (30%)
  • Relevant experience (20%)

Duration

The consultancy will run from February 1, 2025, to December 31, 2025, with the possibility of extension based on organizational needs.
