Security Policy in the Context of the “New Silk Road”. The case of Tajikistan

Tajikistan's Participation in the China Belt and Road Initiative and Security Issues.

China is expanding and diversifying its instruments of influence in Central Asia. For example, in Tajikistan, there is not only active economic and investment expansion, but also the intensification of the PRC's participation in ensuring security.

Tajikistan is of interest to China as a "transit zone" when communicating with Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Iran, Afghanistan, other countries of Central Asia, and most of all - from the point of view of ensuring the security of China itself.
